Goffin characterises his own strongly coloured and literally multilayered non-objective pictures as “dense painting”. His work confronts us with a complex interplay flowing, overlapping, flatly arranged or suggestively condensed coloured spaces. Nevertheless, his paintings are not out of hand, but are rather present a closed system, which leads us into his own special world. The monographic publication focuses not only on the artist’s paintings, but also discusses the various aspects of Goffin’s creative work, including photography, film, furniture and prints.
