Das vorliegende Handbuch von Ukyio Camera Systems stellt eine Aufnahmepraxis und Kameratechnik vor, die, 160 Jahre nach der Erfindung der Fotografie und der damit verbundenen Entwicklung der Kameratechnik den Medienbegriff auf grundlegende Fragen der Orientierung hin erweitert. Grundlegend ist die Frage der Objektdifferenzierung: Das Medium ist kein Objekt zwischen den Interaktionspartnern, sondern die Interaktionspartner sind das Medium ihrer Verständigung und die Konstrukteure ihrer Bildwirklichkeit.
Ukiyo Camera Systems befragt die Grundstrukturen der Bildorganisation, wie Sensomotorik, Selbstorganisation, achtsame Zwischenbeziehungen (heedful interrelations) und entwickelt Orientierungsmittel, Kamera- und Televisionstechnik, sowie Übungsprogramme zur Telemotorik und zum Tele-
grooming (soziale Fellpflege).
Das Handbuch der Kameratechnik erläutert die Grundlage für die Benutzung der von Ukiyo entwickelten Instrumente.

This handbook by Ukiyo Camera Systems presents an approach to photographing and camera technique which, 160 years after the invention of photography and the development of camera technology in its wake, now extends the concept of the media to encompass fundamental questions of orientation. Discerning between object and object is one such fundamental question. The medium is not an object between the interacting partners; rather the interacting partners are the medium of their mutual comprehension and the constructors of their pictorial reality. Ukiyo Camera Systems investigates the basic structures of pictorial organisation, such as sensomotor behaviour, self-organisation and heedful interrelations, and develops aids to orientation, camera and television technique and programmes of exercises for telemotor skills and telegrooming (the gentle art of social photographic intercourse).
The Handbook of Camera Technique explains the principles governing the use of the instruments developed by Ukiyo.
