Der Titel „Mystical Correct" spielt auf „political correct" an. Nun sind Rußland und Mystik nicht erst seit Malewitsch eng miteinander verhunden. Erstmals werden in dieser Konsequenz und Breite russische Künstler und Theoretiker in Wort und Bild versammelt. Die Verinnerlichung von „kollektiver Schizophrenie" führt zu den im Moskauer Konzeptualismus sichtbaren individuellen und absurden Mythen mit Versatzstücken aus Kommentar, Erzählung, Religion, Wissenschaft, Märchen, theoretischen Diskursen und sowjetischer Alltagskultut. Beteiligte Künstler: Juri Albert, Nikita Alexejev, Komar & Melamid, Juri Leiderman, Haralampi G. Oroschakoff, Vadim Zakharov u.a.
The title recalls the term, 'politically correct', and it is not only since Malevich that Russia and mysticism have been closely linked. For the first time in this thoroughness and breadth, Russian artists and theorists are represented together through words and images. The internalising of 'collective schizophrenia' leads to the individual and absurd myths that become visible in Moscow Conceptualism, with movable props from commentaries, narratives, religion, science and scholarship, the fairy-tale, theoretical discourse and everyday Soviet culture. Artists include Yuri Albert, Nikita Alexeyev, Komar & Melamid, Yuri Leiderman, Haralampi G. Oroshakoff, Vadim Zakharov and others.
