Terry Fox was born in 1943 in Seattle and
now lives in Cologne. In the late 60's, he started his public theater work
in San Francisco, and a short time later his performances. He has worked
together with Beuys, Vito Acconci, Dennis Oppenheim and many others. His
art consists above all of existential and aesthetic themes. Physical and
emotional borderline experiences determine the handling of simple materials
and objects, using words, language, and sound.
This bilingual book (English/German) presents a collection of Fox's statements,
interviews, texts and reports, ranging from 1971 to 1999. The interviews
were recorded by Liza Bear, Achille Bonito Oliva, René van Peer,
Johannes L. Schröder, Willoughby Sharp, and Robin White. The book includes
an introduction by Eva Schmidt and a list of exhibitions and performances.
Published by Eva Schmidt, approx. 220 pages with 66 black-and-white illustrations,
